The Schedule sets out the detailed conditions, procedures and timetables of the Joint Scheme.
1. Transitional Arrangements
1.1 Immediately upon finalisation of the Joint Scheme, the Association shall write to all students registered with the Association prior to 31 December 2002, informing them that they will be transferred onto the Joint Scheme with effect from 1 January 2003.
1.2 The Association shall provide the Institute with details of those students transferring onto the Joint Scheme register.

1.2 The Association shall provide the Institute with details of those students transferring onto the Joint Scheme register.
2. Syllabuses
2.1 The Association shall be responsible for the preparation, printing and distribution of all syllabuses and other material for the Joint Scheme examinations and shall make such changes to the syllabus as are considered necessary from time to time.
3. The Examination Papers
3.1 The Joint Examination Schemes will include all Association Technician and Professional Scheme examination papers produced with the "overprinted" Joint Technician or Professional Examination Scheme covers.
4. Examination Results
4.1 The Association shall be responsible for informing all students, under the Joint Scheme, of their results after each session of examinations.
4.2 After each session of examinations, starting with the June 2003 session, the Association shall provide the Institute with a confidential copy of the results of the Joint Scheme examinations.
5. Disciplinary Procedures
5.1 Any student registered under the Joint Scheme, who is removed from either the Institute's or the Association's Technician or Professional student register, for any reason whatsoever, shall automatically cease to be a registered student of the Joint Scheme.
5.2 Any complaint, in respect of which a Joint Scheme student may be liable to disciplinary action (including misconduct) which is made to the Institute shall be investigated under the Institute's disciplinary procedures and shall be notified to the Association. The Association shall retain any right to investigate the matter under its disciplinary procedures and may at its sole discretion allow the student to remain on its Technician or Professional student register.
5.3 Any complaint, in respect of which a Joint Scheme student may be liable to disciplinary action (including misconduct) which is made to the Association shall be investigated under the Association’s disciplinary procedures and shall be notified to the Institute. The Institute shall retain any right to investigate the matter under its disciplinary procedures and may at its sole discretion allow the student to remain on its Technician or Professional student register.
6. Finance
6.1 Registration fees, payable to the Association by students under the Joint Scheme shall be remitted together with the appropriate applications, by the said students directly to the Association.
6.2 Students registered under the Joint Scheme shall pay their annual subscriptions due to the Institute, directly to the Institute and shall pay the Association's annual subscriptions, examination fees and other dues directly to the Association.
6.3 The Association shall pay to the Institute in recognition of the work undertaken by it for the Joint Scheme, such sum for each registered Joint Scheme student, on the first day of June each year, as the Institute and the Association shall agree from time to time. (In 2003 the sum shall be £3 per registered student).
7. Administration
7.1 The Association shall provide the Institute, on a regular basis, with such labels, stationery, application and exemption forms as shall be required for the administration of the Joint Scheme.
7.2 The Association shall process all initial applications for students wishing to join the Joint Scheme and thereafter shall issue each student, whose application has been accepted, with the appropriate registration card, exemptions notification, examination entry documentation and membership certificate as required.
8. Termination
8.1 On termination of this Agreement, for whatever reason, each and every student registered under the Joint Scheme, shall decide whether to remain registered with the Institute and/or the Association or whether to cease to be registered with both bodies.
